Ireland 1710. After Catholicism is outlawed, Fr. Brian McHugh of Longford finds himself arrested and imprisoned. Escaping with forged release papers, he returns to his parish. But soon the ruse is discovered and the Crown “Priesthunters” set out to track him down. Based on true events, the film brings to life the story of Fr. Brian McHugh – “The Longford Fox” – whose audacity and multiple gaol breaks tormented the English authorities across Ireland.
Beginning with St. Elizabeth’s childhood when she was sent to meet her future husband, and ending a little after her death as a young woman, this film follows the journey of this saint from castle to poverty. Watch the motherly Saint Elizabeth as she cares for the poor, feeds the hungry, and is, in every sense, the ideal queen. The castle scenery and original music will take you to another time and lift your heart to higher things.
France, 1914. Jean and his older brother Henri, are living in the familial castle in Beaujolais. As their mother is dead and their father is fighting on the French front during World War I, the two boys live with their grandparents and are instructed by the Abbé Mermesson.
During Christmas 1914, after a prayer during which Jean and Henri ask to see their father again and to become knights, they are propelled by a mysterious dream to the medieval time. There, they meet their cousins Jeanne, Marthe and Alix from North of France and, together, begin to live fabulous adventures !
An Iraq war veteran suffering from PTSD, Chase, works nights as a janitor at a car museum — perfect for him, because he prefers to be alone. He thoughtfully dusts, vacuums, and polishes with striking attention to detail, occasionally taking breaks to longingly stare at the historic photos of Carroll Shelby and Ken Miles after they won Le Mans in 1966.
His reverie is broken when the phone rings; it’s a little boy, who thinks he’s called The Storyteller’s Hotline. Touched by the boy’s innocence, Chase tells him a story that launches them into the world of 1960’s car racing. Chase realizes that the boy has fallen asleep, and goes back to work…until the phone rings again.
