  • Guests arrive at 11:00 AM, welcomed with tiaras or floral crowns.
  • Tea and lunch are served at noon, followed by fun and games at 1:00 PM. You can organize princess-themed trivia, a game of Musical Thrones (a regal twist on musical chairs), or even a tea bag toss.
  • At 4:00 PM, guests leave with sweet memories and perhaps a keepsake to remember the day.

Feel free to adjust the itinerary to suit your party!

Whimsical Menu for Your Princess Tea Party

little flower party

A tea party wouldn’t be complete without some delicious, dainty treats. Serve a variety of teas—herbal, fruity, or classic black tea—and accompany them with finger sandwiches (like cucumber, cream cheese, or ham). Scones, brownies, or even a rich chocolate tart make perfect dessert additions, and to add a magical touch, rose cupcakes are a must!

These delicate, flower-inspired treats can be easily made with the help of online tutorials. Pair them with a cheese and fruit tray for some healthy snacking.

Chocolate is a French dessert classic, perfect for a sophisticated twist at your tea party. Whether in the form of a tart or served alongside the cupcakes, it’s sure to be a hit!

Creating a Royal Atmosphere

Transform your space into a princess-worthy wonderland with elegant decor. Use rose pink and red as your dominant colors. Faux roses scattered throughout the room or dangled from the ceiling with light pink streamers will add a whimsical touch.

Real roses make a stunning centerpiece, especially when tied with a 1/4" ribbon around the vase. We found beautiful bouquets from Costco for just $17, and they lasted long enough to enjoy well beyond the party. It’s a great, budget-friendly way to make the space feel extra special.

For a personal touch, enhance ordinary chairs by draping them with folded fabric and securing the fabric with a ribbon—no sewing required! Complete the look with tea cups, doilies, and decorative pillows.

Princess-Themed Music for the Party

Set the mood with enchanting music! Enjoy our playlist that includes classic princess-themed soundtracks from films like TangledThe Chronicles of Narnia, and Anastasia. For a unique addition, include Love Is a Beauty, the end credit song from Grisly Grisell. This song’s powerful message focuses on the importance of inner beauty—charity—rather than outward appearances. This beautiful message is woven into the movie and reflected in the song’s lyrics.

You can also use this music during your game of Musical Thrones, where guests walk around chairs to the music, with one less chair than players. When the music stops, the last princess standing gets eliminated until there’s one final winner!

Fun & Games for Your Princess Party

A princess party is incomplete without fun activities. Start with an ice-breaking trivia game. Each guest takes turns asking trivia questions related to princesses or tea, and the one who answers correctly wins a tea bag. The player with the most tea bags at the end wins a prize!

The tea bag toss is another fun option. Arrange six tea cups in a triangle and assign each cup a point value. Guests take turns tossing tea bags, aiming to score the highest. Keep a score sheet handy, and offer a prize for the winner.

For game prizes, you can choose small, delightful gifts like sparkly hair clips, fancy nail polish sets, or even tiaras!
